On the inside it is white that takes over from gray which dominates the façade with wood and different shades of gray playing second fiddle. A series of terrariums pavilions and terraces bring in plenty of natural light along with large framed glass windows that offer a constant glimpse of the ever-changing sights and sounds outside. Cheerful inviting and cozy this is a summer home that makes the most of the unique site it sits on.

Hidden deep inside Kerhonkson the is much more than just another serene escape set in the woods. This striking little retreat was designed by Studio MM Architect to specifically meet the demands of a car lover who wished to escape big city rush whenever possible.
An OBBA creation this fabulous home is set at the foot of a mountain range and overlooks a large water reservoir that is just a stone’s throw away. With a fruit and vegetable garden on one side and a curated landscape on the other this is a home that is all about reconnecting with nature!
At this point the roof seems even more captivating as the olive groves and giant gum trees outside fill the backdrop with constantly changing sights and sounds. The living area and the open deck are gently cantilevered above the landscape with the bedrooms connected directly with the central courtyard.
The is all about combing contrasting styles textures and finishes in an organic manner even while shaping an enjoyable social setting where kids and parents can interact without hindrance. The new living space in the rear along with the kitchen and dining flows into the courtyard while the existing traditional home holds the bedrooms and an architectural studio. Raw finishes of plywood and Formply are mixed with ceiling beams in Tasmanian oak to create intrigue and contrast.
The entire prefab was built off-site in a factory in the capital and brought to Pueblo Eden as two individual units. Putting it all together did not take much time at all. Saving cost resources and making construction of homes a lot easier in remote locations the creative prefab does not compromise on aesthetics whatsoever. Its beautiful wooden exterior and timber interior feels both modern and inviting even as the stone walls it sits on minimize environmental impact.
